The Arthritis Institute of Michigan provides its patients with the newest and most beneficial treatment services available when dealing with rheumatic and inflammatory conditions such as arthritis or even scleroderma. Including nutritional therapies, joint injections, aspirations and in-office infusions, we stay up-to-date on all the latest research to ensure that we provide you the quality and compassion you deserve.

Another of our many treatment services available are a number of viscosupplementation procedures including Hyalgan and Euflexxa.

Hyalgan, like other viscosupplementation procedures is a hyaluronate solution which is used to restore cushion and lubrication to joints damaged by conditions such as osteoarthritis. An injection which is put directly into the affected joint, it is a temporary fix in terms of pain for those who it is deemed right for.

Euflexxa is another of the viscosupplementation procedures provided to patients of the Arthritis Institute of Michigan. Again, used as a cushioning agent in the knee to replace the natural fluid lost from your joints, Euflexxa is meant to mimic your body’s natural fluids and treat the pain associated with the loss of this joint fluid. Used to reduce pain, neither Euflexxa nor Hyalgan is considered a cure for osteoarthritis but is a temporary treatment to help make moving around easier and less painful for you.

As with all treatments, finding the right one for you is important and requires a skilled rheumatic physician like those you will find at the Arthritis Institute of Michigan.
